Mars je nastao kao digitalizacija postojećeg pisma korištenog na naslovnici knjige Miroslava Krleže izdane 1980-ih godina. Porodica se sastoji od tri različita fonta – obruba, pozadine te imitacije gravure u kamenu. Mars spaja retro izgled i suvremene ideje/tehnike poput spajanja fontova.

Mars was made as a revival typeface of eighties type found on a book cover of Miroslav Krleža’s novel Croatian God Mars. The family itself consists of three different layers – outline, filled and carved style. Mars combines a retro look with modern ideas – the technique of layering fonts.
